There is no denying, hot toddies are a true gift. They are warm, cozy, and boozy. With November edging to a close, the months of chilly weather and snow are looming. It’s definitely time to switch over to warm beverages.
Warm cocktails are awesome. Remember that time we showed you how to make mulled wine? Those were good times. Well, it’s about to get awesome again because we’re making hot toddies with a twist.
You usually add honey, bourbon, lemon, and tea to a toddy, but we took it up a notch by also throwing in rosemary and blackberries, and my-oh-my, it’s delicious.
For this cocktail, you will need:
- Honey bourbon
- Earl Grey tea
Go ahead and get the honey bourbon. It’s worth it. You can definitely also add honey to this cocktail if you like it on the sweeter side.
Fun fact: Honey never goes bad. Go ahead and use up what you have in your house.
Step one: bourbon
First, steep your Earl Grey in two ounces of boiling water, and then add an ounce of bourbon to each glass. Stir gently. Remove the tea bags once the tea has steeped to your taste.
Step two: blackberry
Now, remove your tea bags and add in your blackberries. Feel free to muddle them a little to add even more blackberry flavor.
Step three: garnish
Now, garnish with a simple sprig of rosemary for an elegant and aromatic touch! Rosemary for the win.
Cheers – happy sipping!
