Pop Rocks were our favorite—not all that sweet, and not all that sour. It was always hard to tell which tasty sensation triumphed. What we did know is that they fizzed and popped when you put them in your mouth. Of course, it was legend that if you ate Pop Rocks in addition to soda, it created an excess of carbon dioxide in your system, causing you to explode and perish. This is still up for debate nearly 60 years after the candy was introduced, BUT we were willing to take the risk and add it to our cocktail anyways—here’s Pop Rocks Fizz!
For this cocktail, you’ll need:
- Blue Curacao
- Lime juice
- Pineapple juice
- Pop Rocks of choice!
Step one: shake it
Fill a shaker with ice and add two ounces of vodka, an ounce of Blue Curacao, two ounces of pineapple juice, and a half ounce of lime juice. Shake until a frost forms on the outside of your shaker.
Step two: pour
Now, pour your cocktails into your glasses
Step three: magic
Now, carefully sprinkle Pop Rocks into your cocktail and enjoy!
