I’m dreaming of a white Christmas… mojito. This winter libation may call for a lyric change. Sorry, Irving.
Frothy, frosty, and festive, the White Christmas Mojito is on the very top of our holiday wish list, and it can be on yours too! The only ingredients that you may have to run out and grab are pomegranates (which are always available at your local grocer during the holiday season) and coconut milk. Everything else is pretty standard for cocktail aficionados (which you totally are, right?)
Just follow along below to make this cocktail that would even put The Grinch in the holiday spirit.
Don’t worry – it’s not complicated to make. We promise.
For this cocktail, you will need…
- White rum
- Coconut rum
- Coconut milk
- Sparkling water
- Pomegranate arils (seeds)
- Cane sugar
Step one: muddle
First, put a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar in each of your glasses, and mix with a tablespoon of lime juice. Then, add in three mint leaves to each and muddle until the leaves have broken up. Isn’t muddling fun? We think so. Don’t have a muddler? No worries. A spoon works just fine.
Step two: blend it
Grab your blender and add 3 ounces of white rum…
2 ounces of coconut rum… and wait for it…
… and 2 ounces of coconut milk in a blender and blend until combined. The coconut milk will make it smooth, creamy, and white. Hello Instagram photos.
Step three: pour and garnish
Now, fill your glasses with crushed ice and pour your blended mixture over it.
Finally, garnish with some pomegranate arils and a sprig of mint for a pop of holly jolly red and green.
Cheers – happy sipping!
