Our professional artist will guide you, step-by-step, from a blank canvas to a final unique masterpiece in about two hours. No matter whether you bring your friends or come by yourself, you can bet that you will meet plenty of other fun-seeking people from all over the city!
We use non-toxic washable acrylic paint in primary colors and provide 16”x20” canvases at all of our events. We provide everything you will need for use at the event: canvas, paints, brushes and even a smock. You just bring your fun-loving friends and have a few drinks to keep the sprits high and inhibitions to a minimum, and we'll make sure your inner Picasso is unleashed.
Events last approximately two hours, at the end of which you get to take home your new masterpiece. Please arrive by 30-40 minutes before start time to secure seating with your friends and have your dinner or drink before the event begins.

Jennilee Fraser is a 37year old artist/actor who has lived in Kamloops since she was 5 years old. She has performed in several theatre productions over the past decade, receiving much of her training right here at Thompson Rivers University. She has always been an artists, beginning with sketching and drawing at a very young age, branching out into the coloured canvas early in her 20's. Her inspiration comes from the Universe, as many of her paintings revolve around nebulae and other astronical objects. However, never one to shy away from a challenge, she will paint anything she can with fire and passion.

Yes. Midnight Moonlight is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Galina breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Galina is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Red Beard Cafe, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.

Your ticket to Midnight Moonlight includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Galina. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Red Beard Cafe — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Red Beard Cafe's event starts at 6:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 5:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Galina starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
This event has reached our minimum attendance threshold and is guaranteed to run. If we ever have to cancel a guaranteed event, every ticket holder receives a full automatic refund plus a free ticket to a future Paint Nite — no questions asked. The only exception is weather or force majeure, where full refunds are issued but free tickets are not.
