Warm beer, good company, and by the end of the night you'll have made something with your own two hands — that's the kind of Sunday that actually sticks with you. I'm Joyce, and I'll walk you through every stitch of a chunky knit blanket or pillow cover right inside 3 Brewers Kanata Centrum, which honestly might be one of the coziest spots to spend an evening. We're talking a real microbrewery with freshly brewed beer on tap and a full bistro menu — settle in, order something you like, and let the night unfold. No knitting background needed; I'll meet you where you are and we'll build it up together. Bring your people.

Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Chunky Blanket Making with Friends is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Joyce (Of Art!!) breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Chunky Blankets events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
Joyce (Of Art!!) is a real local artist based in Kanata — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. 75 out of 88 guests who've painted with Joyce (Of Art!!) say the instruction was amazing. GAIL C. said: 'Joyce's events are always lively and fun. I always learn something new from her teaching.'
3 Brewers - Kanata Centrum is a local venue in Kanata — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Chunky Blankets events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yes — we have 4 upcoming events in Kanata this month. You can view them here.
Your ticket to Chunky Blanket Making with Friends includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Joyce (Of Art!!). Drinks and food are ordered separately from 3 Brewers - Kanata Centrum — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
3 Brewers - Kanata Centrum's event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Joyce (Of Art!!) starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Chunky Blankets event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Chunky Blankets cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
