Picture a mountain range catching the last glow of a sunset — the kind where the sky goes pink, then purple, then something you can't quite name — reflected in still water below. That's what we're painting together on Thursday, and I've been looking forward to it. I'm Janna, and I've been running these nights long enough to know that the people who show up saying they "can't paint" usually end up the most surprised by what they leave with. I'll meet you where you are, and we'll build this one up layer by layer — the warm sky, the cool tree line, the water that ties it all together. Thornton Arms is a great spot for a night like this: cold draught on tap, solid food, and a neighbourhood-pub feel that makes it easy to settle in and actually enjoy yourself. The painting ends somewhere between dreamy and wild, and that's exactly where I want it to land.

Janna has been happily hosting Paint Nite since 2018. As a Master Artist, she has garnered a dedicated following with her passion, technique, and delightful sense of humour. She is constantly experimenting with new mediums and her clothes and hands always tell a colourful, messy story. When Janna puts down her paintbrush she can be found baking custom cakes and treats that further showcase her creative talent, and taste delicious too! Yes. Oasis Mountains is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Janna breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Janna is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Thornton Arms Pub & Grill, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. Your ticket to Oasis Mountains includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Janna. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Thornton Arms Pub & Grill — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Thornton Arms Pub & Grill's event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Janna starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
