Thornton Arms has been a neighbourhood spot since 2003, and it turns out a pub with 15 taps and a full food menu is a really good place to pick up a paintbrush. I'm Janna, and I'll be guiding everyone through *Winter Glitter* — a landscape that layers snow, trees, and that kind of cold-sky light that somehow feels warm once it's on canvas. Blues and whites and the soft glow of a winter scene: it sounds simple, and building it up together is exactly where the fun is. No experience needed — I'll meet you where you are and we'll get there. With 758 events behind me, I've seen every skill level walk through the door, and everyone leaves with something they're actually proud of.

Janna has been happily hosting Paint Nite since 2018. As a Master Artist, she has garnered a dedicated following with her passion, technique, and delightful sense of humour. She is constantly experimenting with new mediums and her clothes and hands always tell a colourful, messy story. When Janna puts down her paintbrush she can be found baking custom cakes and treats that further showcase her creative talent, and taste delicious too! Come have a drink with her and paint your own masterpiece!

Janna paces it carefully so nobody gets left behind — and Janna will help you turn any mistake into something intentional. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Janna is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Thornton Arms Pub & Grill, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.

Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Oshawa, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Winter Glitter includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Janna. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Thornton Arms Pub & Grill — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Thornton Arms Pub & Grill's event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Janna starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
