Saturday night at a brewery with paint, gold leaf, and Janna Valle is a combination that earns some real anticipation. I'll be honest — I've been hosting these nights since 2018 and the paint pour on geometric canvas is one of my favourites to guide people through, because the way the colours move and layer is just genuinely satisfying to watch happen in real time. We'll press real gold leaf into the wet paint, and no two canvases ever come out the same. You don't need to have picked up a brush before — I'll meet you where you are, and the process does a lot of the beautiful work on its own. After 788 events, I still get a kick out of watching someone see their finished piece for the first time.

Janna has been happily hosting Paint Nite since 2018. As a Master Artist, she has garnered a dedicated following with her passion, technique, and delightful sense of humour. She is constantly experimenting with new mediums and her clothes and hands always tell a colourful, messy story. When Janna puts down her paintbrush she can be found baking custom cakes and treats that further showcase her creative talent, and taste delicious too! Come have a drink with her and paint your own masterpiece!
Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Paint Pour on Geometric Canvas with Gold Leaf is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Janna breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Janna is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Little Beasts Brewing Company, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Yes — Paint Pour on Geometric Canvas with Gold Leaf is a Paint Nite favourite for girls nights in Whitby. Everyone paints their own canvas, so there's always something to laugh about at the end. If you're planning a bachelorette party or a larger group, private events of 10+ get reserved seating and a custom experience.
Janna is a real local artist based in Whitby — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. 10 out of 11 guests who've painted with Janna say the instruction was amazing. Nithya A. said: 'This is such a great social and artistic experience. Janna is amazing and I learned a lot while meeting some fun people.'
Little Beasts Brewing Company is a local venue in Whitby — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.

Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Whitby, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Paint Pour on Geometric Canvas with Gold Leaf includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Janna. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Little Beasts Brewing Company — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Little Beasts Brewing Company's doors open at 2:00 PM, the event starts at 3:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 2:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Janna starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
