Our venues are known for their great atmosphere, service, and food. Sometimes, you may wonder if you’ve arrived at a little out-of-the-way basement pub where guys named Norm will be the next to join the party, but that’s because neighbourhood pubs and lounges have a warm, welcoming vibe, and that’s what you’ll find with Team Merlot. Need a little extra help? A little extra time? A little encouragement? Well...you’ve found it! We’re all about personality and passion for art, adventure and...a little sassy attitude.
So...raise your glass to a NEW kind of night out! Paint Nite® invites you to create art over cocktails at a local restaurant or bar, guided by a professional artist and party host. Grab your friends and spend two hours drinking, laughing, and flexing your creative muscles. There’s no experience necessary and we’ll provide all the supplies, so you don’t have to worry about a thing (except having a great time!). Must be 18+. Food and drink may be purchased at the event.
The event begins promptly at the start time listed above. Please allow extra time to find parking and get settled. If you're coming with a group (yay, how fun!) make sure you arrive early to get seats together. If you're planning to eat dinner before the event, please inform the host/hostess that you're with Paint Nite® and check in with us to reserve your seats.

Get DirectionsElisa is an aspiring artist and entrepreneur, born and raised in the GTA, Ontario. She obtained her BFA degree from the Ontario College of Art & Design in Toronto, and has since moved to Calgary after graduating in 2013. The mountains, nature and the people closest to her are things that inspire both herself and her artwork. Illustration, drawing, painting, and teaching art lessons were a passion of hers since she was very young. She has taught art lessons previously before moving to Alberta to both children and some adult paint parties as well and found that she enjoys it very much. Sports, animals and the nerdy side of life (like Lord of the Rings, Dinosaurs and Star Wars) are often incorporated into her artwork and illustrations as well. In April 2014, she started her own hand-drawn greeting card business as a professional artist, building her company called 'Ellie Greets & Unique Arte'. Yes. Morning in the Caribbean is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Rachelle breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Rachelle is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Molson Canadian Hockey House (COP), a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.

Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Calgary, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Morning in the Caribbean includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Rachelle. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Molson Canadian Hockey House (COP) — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Molson Canadian Hockey House (COP)'s event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Rachelle starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
