History
The Conn family began to realize their dream of a Microbrew Pub in September 2011 when construction began on the restaurant and pub in the Booth-Grundendike house, and the brewery plant in Obed Lewis’ carriage house. Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery & Eatery opened for business on February 12, 2012 and except for Christmas and Thanksgiving, has been open every day since.
I am Amy Walkenhorst “Artist Amy” and I am a Mixed Media Maker. I am very passionate about all types of art and try to learn as much as I can (through trial and error, and Google) about every technique I see. Though an artist I may be, I try to make things that are functional and affordable. No two pieces are ever the same because what fun is it to make the same thing over and over. My passions besides art are vintage findings, classic cars, and repurposing. As for most artists, you will find that my makings align with my passions in some way. I believe art is not a gift or tallent but rather a skill. What that means for you and Paint Nite is that practice makes perfect! So come to lots of events and don't doubt yourself! If you come with an open mind, relax, and have fun, your painting skills will get better without you even knowing it. I'm a people person, too, selling my art at vendor shows around and frequenting art events. So if you see me out and about be sure to say hi.
