Deer Fall

Artwork byVera Malitskaya

A majestic stag with impressive antlers stands centered in a glowing forest, silhouetted against a radiant golden-yellow light emanating from deep within the tree line. Tall, slender tree trunks in vivid red, orange, and deep purple frame the composition symmetrically, with rounded foliage clusters in lavender and crimson overhead. The ground reflects the warm glow with purple and amber tones, suggesting a misty forest floor. The palette is rich and jewel-toned — deep purples, fiery oranges, and luminous gold — creating a dramatic, enchanting mood. Bold, impressionistic brushwork with moderate detail makes this an intermediate-level piece.
