It's Spooky Around Here

Artwork byMelody Gillespie

A spooky Halloween scene featuring a wide-eyed black cat with glowing green eyes perched atop a carved jack-o-lantern, set against a large luminous orange-yellow full moon. The background transitions from deep purple to fiery red-orange, populated with silhouetted bats in flight, a detailed spiderweb with a hanging spider in the upper right, and shadowy gravestones flanking the foreground. The color palette is bold and dramatic — deep purples, vivid oranges, and stark blacks dominate. The composition is dense with multiple fine details including grass, web threads, and expressive cat fur, making this a moderately-to-highly complex piece for experienced painters.
