Shimmering Forest
Artwork byAlyson McCrink
A forest scene at sunset viewed from within a stand of tall, dark-trunked trees, with foliage rendered in bold pointillist-style dabs of color. The palette transitions dramatically from vibrant red and magenta on the left to deep violet and purple on the right, with a blazing golden-yellow light radiating from the center horizon. The forest floor reflects the glowing light in jewel-toned puddles of color. The overall mood is luminous, dramatic, and deeply atmospheric. The style is graphic and expressive with medium-to-high complexity due to the dense foliage detailing.
