Red and teal aren't colors you'd normally put together for a forest, and yet somehow they just work. The painting tonight has this moody, electric quality — deep tree silhouettes, warm fall tones bleeding into something a little unexpected. I've run a lot of events and this one keeps pulling me back because the color combo surprises people every time. We're at Zip Kombucha in Anchorage, which means you've got locally brewed, organic kombucha on hand while we paint — something fizzy and a little different to sip on. I'll meet you where you are skill-wise, so don't stress about the art part. By the end of the night, that forest is yours.
We are your local Kombucha Brewery! We brew this amazing fermented tea that is rich in probiotics. Our kombucha is carbonated and made with organic ingredients such as ginger, mint, and various fruits and veggies. We have also launched our new brand, Black Label Booch. This is Alaska’s first locally made hard kombucha. Come on down to our taproom to sample our multiple kombucha, hard kombucha, house made beer and hard seltzer flavors. Can’t decide on just one? We have flights available. Bring your growlers down to keep stocked up on your favorites. You can find our kombucha in cans at restaurants and grocery stores in Anchorage and the surrounding area. Must me 21 to enjoy our brewery, please drink responsibly.

Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Fall forest in red and teal is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Kara breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Kara is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Zip Kombucha, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Kara is a real local artist based in Anchorage — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. In Anchorage, 11 out of 15 Paint Nite guests rated their instructor as amazing. Craig B. said: 'The instructor, Jessica, is very good and an accomplished artist.'
Zip Kombucha is a local venue in Anchorage — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yes — we have 93 upcoming events in Anchorage this month. You can view them here.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Anchorage, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Fall forest in red and teal includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Kara. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Zip Kombucha — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Zip Kombucha's doors open at 2:00 PM, the event starts at 6:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 5:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Kara starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
