Mountains at night hit different when they're purple and glowing under a sky full of stars — and that's exactly what we're painting together this Thursday at Zip Kombucha in Anchorage. I'm Jessica, and I've run over a hundred of these nights, so I know how to meet you where you are, whether you've never held a brush or you sketch on lunch breaks. Zip Kombucha is brewing something special with their local kombucha on tap, including flavors made with ginger, mint, and organic fruits, so you'll have something interesting in your glass while we build up this moonlit mountain scene layer by layer. The whole painting has this quiet, mystical feeling — deep blues fading into purples, stars scattered across the sky, trees silhouetted below — and by the end of the night, that scene is yours to take home.

Our kombucha is carbonated and made with organic ingredients such as ginger, mint, and various fruits and veggies. We have also launched our new brand, Black Label Booch. This is Alaska’s first locally made hard kombucha. Come on down to our taproom to sample our multiple kombucha, hard kombucha, house made beer and hard seltzer flavors. Can’t decide on just one? Yes. Purple Mountain Magic is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Jessica breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Jessica is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Zip Kombucha, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Purple Mountain Magic is one of our most popular date night paintings in Anchorage. You each paint your own canvas — same painting, different results — which always makes for a fun comparison at the end of the night. The mood of the painting is romantic — expect something beautiful to bring home.

Your ticket to Purple Mountain Magic includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Jessica. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Zip Kombucha — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Zip Kombucha's doors open at 2:00 PM, the event starts at 6:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 5:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Jessica starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
