The painting we're doing Wednesday has been sitting in my head all week — a deep violet bay curving under a crescent moon, stars scattered across the dark sky, trees framing the water's edge. It's one of those scenes that looks complex but comes together in this really satisfying way as you build up the layers, and I'll be right there with you the whole time, so no experience needed whatsoever. We're doing all of this at The Silver Key Lounge in Mesa, which is a board game and craft beer spot with 20 drafts on tap and a ton of canned options — so settle in, grab something good, and let the night take its time. By the end you're going home with something that actually looks like a moody, glowing night sky over the water.
We are a board game/craft beer and wine lounge in Mesa, Arizona. We will serve 20 craft beers on draft along with over 30 other craft canned/bottled beers; our new cocktails menu; an extensive wine list consisting of local and international varietals to choose from along with our 4 house wines on tap; a great selection of craft soda and coffee for the late night players. Of course we will have over 600 board game titles to choose from for our patrons to play while enjoying their drinks. We also showcase four 4.6 Elite Ultimate Game Tables for the large game groups along with our standard 3x3 and 3x5 tables to sit at comfortably. We will also have two private rooms available in late February/March, to reserve that hold up to 10 guests each. Our other unique feature is the Live Stream table. One of out Elite 4.6 tables will have lights, cameras, mics and a sound board all set up. All you need is your laptop to plug in and within minutes you are broadcasting live. Website

Yes. Violet Crescent Bay is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Rebecca breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Rebecca is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at The Silver Key Lounge, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.

Your ticket to Violet Crescent Bay includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Rebecca. Drinks and food are ordered separately from The Silver Key Lounge — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
The Silver Key Lounge's doors open at 4:00 PM, the event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Rebecca starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
