Friday night at Dave & Buster's already has a certain energy to it, and we're leaning all the way in. I'm Arlene, and I've been running these nights for almost two years — 363 events in — so I know exactly how to get a room of people who've never touched a canvas feeling like they belong there. Tonight we're painting portraits of each other, which sounds intimidating until it becomes the funniest thing you've done in months. I'll meet you where you are, whether that's total beginner or someone who doodled through every class in school. My background is in figurative painting, and that's what makes this one special to teach — I genuinely love this subject, and it shows in how I break it down. Your pal ends up on the canvas, drinks in hand, laughing at how it turned out.

Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes — Paint Your Pal! is one of our most approachable paintings. Absolute first-timers finish this one looking great. Arlene walks you through every step, and the whole group moves together so nobody falls behind. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Arlene is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Dave & Buster's Los Angeles - Westchester, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Arlene is a real local artist based in Los Angeles — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. 13 out of 28 guests who've painted with Arlene say the instruction was amazing. Julianna B. said: 'Awesome event! The teacher is so incredible and the event was fun, educational, entertaining and inspiring!! Highly recommended!!!'
Dave & Buster's Los Angeles - Westchester is a local venue in Los Angeles — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yes — we have 61 upcoming events in Los Angeles this month. You can view them here.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Los Angeles, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Paint Your Pal! includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Arlene. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Dave & Buster's Los Angeles - Westchester — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Dave & Buster's Los Angeles - Westchester's event starts at 8:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 7:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Arlene starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 8 hours before this one starts. Rescheduling more than 48 hours in advance is free; within 48 hours of the start time there's a $20 fee per ticket. You can't reschedule within 8 hours of the start time, but if an emergency comes up, reach out to our customer service team and we'll do our best to help. Event tickets are not refundable, but your reschedule codes never expire, so you can redeem them whenever it suits you. If Paint Nite cancels this event, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
