No experience required! Just follow along while our Creative Host guides you step-by-step through the featured painting in about two hours. If you’re feeling creative, change the colors to suit your décor or go completely rouge. We provide all the painting supplies: a 16”x20” canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, smock, music, and a good time.

I have always had a love of art and as I was studying art in college I also discovered that I love to teach so I received a BA in art education. I have been teaching private group art lessons to children and adults for the past 8 years out of my home and was a volunteer art teacher in the public schools for 10 years. I am very excited to be teaching for PaintNite because it is such a fun, social way to get creative. There is nothing more exciting than to see people create something with their own hands that was not there before. Art is such a great way to express yourself and to feel a sense of accomplishment and I love helping to bring that out in people. I also enjoy producing my own art when not teaching or raising my 3 children. I paint in acrylics but recently have be working with oil pastels. Yes. Moonlight Lake is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Lene breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Lene is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Cafe Ole, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.

Your ticket to Moonlight Lake includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Lene. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Cafe Ole — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Cafe Ole's event starts at 4:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 3:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Lene starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
