Chickadees are such small, bold little birds — and painting one perched against a candy cane Santa hat turns out to be a surprisingly joyful thing to put on canvas. I'm Martina, and I've been running nights like this long enough to know that the people who show up saying they can't draw a straight line are usually the ones having the loudest laugh by the end. We'll build the whole painting up together, step by step, at Barleycorn's Brewhouse — a converted old fire station with local craft beer on tap and the kind of space that already feels like somewhere you want to stay awhile. That little bird is going to be worth it.
In a town known for connecting winding country roads to widely traveled interstates sits the old fire station, now fashioned into a locally owned brewhouse. At Barleycorn’s Brewhouse we make it our aim to provide a space that offers quality, locally crafted beer, with delectable comfort food. We have a profound love and respect for the history of this area and we are eager to display it within our walls and through our brews and fare. Our brewery is a place for your neighbors, travelers, your furry friends, family members, and everyone in between.

Candy Cane Santa Hat Chickadee is one of our more detailed paintings, which is exactly what makes it so satisfying to finish. Martina paces it carefully so nobody gets left behind — and Martina will help you turn any mistake into something intentional. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Martina is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Barleycorn's Brewhouse, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Yes — Candy Cane Santa Hat Chickadee is a Paint Nite favourite for girls nights in Wilder. Everyone paints their own canvas, so there's always something to laugh about at the end. If you're planning a bachelorette party or a larger group, private events of 10+ get reserved seating and a custom experience.
Martina is a real local artist based in Wilder — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. 14 out of 15 guests who've painted with Martina say the instruction was amazing. Mary Hope J. said: 'Martina made me feel welcomed from the minute I walked in. She was very friendly and engaging with all of the guest. She explained the process very well. She gave encouraging words if you were...'
Barleycorn's Brewhouse is a local venue in Wilder — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.

Candy Cane Santa Hat Chickadee is a winter painting — cozy seasonal vibes for a great night out.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Wilder, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Candy Cane Santa Hat Chickadee includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Martina. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Barleycorn's Brewhouse — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Barleycorn's Brewhouse's doors open at 11:00 AM, the event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Martina starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
