"Red Forest Black Umbrella" canvas painting at Hook & Vine (North Beach), Sunday, Sept. 20, at 4:00 p.m.
This project is instructor led, however center will be pre-sketched. Patrons may choose colors, additions and deletions to the project.
Your host will guide you to make this masterpiece. You may take away, add or choose your own colors. Just make it your own and take it home with you.
All participants will recieve a 16" x 20" canvas, 5 primary paint colors, 3 brushes (small for fine details, medium and large for more coverage), and all other necessary painting supplies. Patrons have sometimes bought their own materials, just let us know what belongs to you.
Price does not include food and beverages which are available through the venue for an additional cost.
Tickets may be cancelled up to 8 hours prior to event start. Please read cancellation policy prior to ticket purchase.
Hook & Vine is a family friendly venue, therefore all ages are welcome!

I'm your hostess for this event! I have over 12 years of experience with paint nite events. I can lead you through paintings, design-a-sign, candlemaker, plant nite, ukulele, ceramics, and any other craft or hobby that helps you relax and enjoy the atmosphere. We allow you to choose your own colors, improvise, take-away, or just sit back and play around with no judgement. We also have a great sense of humor, so if you need a laugh we are here for you. Yes. Red Forest Black Umbrella is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Donna breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Donna is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Hook & Vine Kitchen and Bar, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. Your ticket to Red Forest Black Umbrella includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Donna. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Hook & Vine Kitchen and Bar — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Hook & Vine Kitchen and Bar's doors open at 11:30 AM, the event starts at 4:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 3:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Donna starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
