Paint Your Pet is BACK! (because your pet deserves a portrait)
What is Paint Your Pet?
--->You email us a clear photo of your pet in advance of the event, and we create an outline on a canvas for you to paint. We’ll help you throughout the event so that you leave with a pet portrait that you (and your pet) are proud of.
1. First, BUY your ticket to our Paint Nite paint your pet event! No coupons/vouchers are allowed for this event. Must be 21+ to attend.
2. SUBMIT your pet photo to ashleye@paintnite.com (due by 8/20, only 1 pet allowed per canvas, good quality photos only)
3. Your pet photo will then be hand drawn as an outline onto your 16"x20" canvas a week in advance of the actual event.
4. Attend the event on 8/27 ready to have fun and paint your furry friend! The event will be hosted from 1:00-4:00pm at the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel. When you arrive you will recieve your canvas with your hand-sketched pet and YOU will paint it (with our help)! We will listen to great music and have tips/tricks provided the entirety of the event by our Paint Nite Master Artists.

Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Paint Your Pet II is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Ashley breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Ashley is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel: The Depot (Minneapolis, MN), a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Yes — Paint Your Pet II is a Paint Nite favourite for girls nights in Minneapolis. Everyone paints their own canvas, so there's always something to laugh about at the end. If you're planning a bachelorette party or a larger group, private events of 10+ get reserved seating and a custom experience.
Ashley is a real local artist based in Minneapolis — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. Paint Nite artists complete our certification program before their first event. Across all Paint Nite events, 93% of guests say their instructor was amazing.
Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel: The Depot (Minneapolis, MN) is a local venue in Minneapolis — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Minneapolis, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Paint Your Pet II includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Ashley. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel: The Depot (Minneapolis, MN) — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel: The Depot (Minneapolis, MN)'s event starts at 1:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 12:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Ashley starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
