Parkrose on a Friday afternoon hits different when you've got a drink in hand and something to actually look forward to. I'll be at O'Dear Bar & Grill, and we're painting something I've been excited to do for a while — a river scene with big open water, moody clouds, and all those deep blues and browns that feel almost cinematic when they come together on canvas. You don't need to have picked up a brush before; I'll meet you where you are and we'll build it piece by piece until that bend in the river starts to take shape right in front of you. The food and house cocktails at O'Dear are worth showing up for on their own.

Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.

Morgan is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at O'Dear Bar & Grill, a real local spot, not a studio. Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Portland, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Just Around the River Bend includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Morgan. Drinks and food are ordered separately from O'Dear Bar & Grill — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
O'Dear Bar & Grill's event starts at 4:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 3:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Morgan starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
