We are a family owned restaurant. We serve Japanese cuisine - from sushi to ramen, appetizers to hot entrees, and soft drinks to sake and wine. We have a variety on our menu that usually gives everyone something they like. They can get some appetizers with enjoyable drinks and don't have to spend a lot to have fun. The staffing crew are young, energetic, and laidback; they are fun and provides excellent service to your guests. The vibe is very chill and positive with a lot of laughter just from the staff alone. We definitely have become a close-knit family. Kaysville is a small city but the community comes together. It is a city between Layton and Farmington, Utah. We are trying to bring more family fun events midpoint to allow people to not have to travel too far to have fun, and allow more activities for the community to participate in. We do Karaoke Night once a month (the third Wednesday); people love it and willing to travel. Best part, kids are able to be involved.

Originally from Connecticut, Grace spent most of her life in New England. Briefly studying interior design at University of New Haven before transferring to Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting. After graduation Grace moved across the country with her husband to the beautiful state of Utah. Here she really began her love affair with the Southwest landscapes. Painting from life and her imagination, Grace’s paintings are filled with bright colors and lively organic shapes. In an effort to capture the beauty of her surroundings Grace spends her time outdoors plein air painting, drawing most of her inspiration from the world around her. Her sensitive nature inspires a brush moved by the pure joy of painting, creating uniquely imaginative landscapes. When Grace isn’t snuggling on the couch binge watching shows with her husband and dog, she enjoys hiking, running, reading, gardening, and painting.
Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Milky Way in the Pines is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Grace breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Grace is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Nikko Sushi and Ramen, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Grace is a real local artist based in KAYSVILLE — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. 30 out of 43 guests who've painted with Grace say the instruction was amazing. Christopher D. said: 'The best Paint Nite ever. Grace, the Master Painter, was fabulous. As talented as she is an artist she is even more talented as a teacher. She brought out the best in people. My highest...'
Nikko Sushi and Ramen is a local venue in KAYSVILLE — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yes — we have 5 upcoming events in KAYSVILLE this month. You can view them here.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in KAYSVILLE, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Milky Way in the Pines includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Grace. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Nikko Sushi and Ramen — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Nikko Sushi and Ramen's doors open at 4:00 PM, the event starts at 6:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 5:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Grace starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
