Friday night in Halifax, and I'm already thinking about the moment the canvas starts to come together — because this painting is one of those ones that surprises you. Bridging the Seasons III is all soft light and still water, branches reaching over a pond, the kind of scene where winter and spring seem to exist at the same time, and somehow it works. We'll build the whole thing up together, layer by layer, so even if you've never picked up a brush before, you'll find your way into it. This is also a Pride Month event, so expect a room full of people who are here to have a good time and be exactly who they are — that's the kind of energy I love painting in. Freeman's Little New York in Fairview is where we're doing it, drinks in hand, no pressure, just a really good Friday night.

Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Bridging the Seasons III is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Iyana breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Iyana is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Freeman's Little New York - Fairview, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Bridging the Seasons III is one of our most popular date night paintings in Halifax . You each paint your own canvas — same painting, different results — which always makes for a fun comparison at the end of the night. The painting has a calm, intimate quality — good for a relaxed evening.
Iyana is a real local artist based in Halifax — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. In Halifax , 13 out of 15 Paint Nite guests rated their instructor as amazing. Jessica M. said: 'Iyana is a great teacher. She gave clear instructions and was kind and relaxed. It was a fun evening.'
Freeman's Little New York - Fairview is a local venue in Halifax — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
