The kind of place where someone brings you a cold draft before you've even settled in — that's Moose McGuire's, and it turns out it's also a pretty great spot to make some art. I've been hosting events for a few years now and there's something that just works about a neighbourhood pub with that kind of ease to it: people relax faster, laugh more, and honestly end up painting better for it. We'll be working through Feathered Fall Friends together — warm colours, a little life, the kind of painting that feels satisfying to watch come together stroke by stroke. No experience needed; I'll meet you where you are and we'll build it up from there. By the end of the night you'll be walking out with a canvas and probably a new favourite spot in Ottawa South.
Moose McGuire's is an family owned neighbourhood sports pub in Ottawa South. With 14 high resolution TVs and an 8-foot drop screen, as well as the coldest and best selection of draft beers, in the south end (not to mention the finest food), we are the preferred venue to catch all sporting and live music events. With three distinct and separated areas in the pub, you can choose to mingle, chill with friends or watch the game! Friday and Saturday nights are all about live music, with an eclectic mix of local talent.

Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Cecilia is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Moose McGuire's @ Hunt Club, a real local spot, not a studio. Your ticket to Feathered Fall Friends includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Cecilia. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Moose McGuire's @ Hunt Club — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Moose McGuire's @ Hunt Club's event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Cecilia starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
