The staircase in this painting pulls you in before you even pick up a brush — mossy stone steps curving into a forest, soft light filtering through the trees, the kind of quiet path that feels like it leads somewhere worth finding. I'm Jessica, and after 105 of these nights I still get excited setting up a painting like this one, because it rewards every brush stroke. The colors build gradually — deep greens, earthy browns, a wash of soft light — and I'll meet you where you are, whether you've painted before or have absolutely no idea where to start. Anchorage Brewing is a great room for a Monday night, good beer, good people, and nobody's in a rush.
Anchorage Brewing is a welcoming environment with world class beer. With a draft list ranging from IPA to Imperial Stouts taproom staff will work to find something that fits your desire. A limited wine menu and non-alcoholic options are also available.

Hi friends! I've been in love with art since childhood! Painting is my passion and profession. I teach elementary art during the day and look forward to my paint parties in the evening. As a mom of many I make sure our kid free time is full of fun and laughter!
Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Secret Stairway is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Jessica breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Jessica is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Anchorage Brewing Company, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Jessica is a real local artist based in ANCHORAGE — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. 7 out of 9 guests who've painted with Jessica say the instruction was amazing. Misty N. said: 'Had a blast! Easy to follow instructions, chill/welcoming environment, amazing instructor!'
Anchorage Brewing Company is a local venue in ANCHORAGE — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class. 45% of guests who've attended events at Anchorage Brewing Company rated the atmosphere highly.
Yes — we have 93 upcoming events in ANCHORAGE this month. You can view them here.
Secret Stairway is a spring painting — a fresh seasonal pick that captures the energy of the season.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in ANCHORAGE, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Secret Stairway includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Jessica. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Anchorage Brewing Company — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Anchorage Brewing Company's doors open at 2:00 PM, the event starts at 6:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 5:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Jessica starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
