We had 24 hours in town and wanted to check out a few local breweries. There was a decent amount of parking available, and plenty of street parking to help accommodate any overflow.
Unfortunately, they do not offer beer flights, so Colby created his own half-glass sampler, which did the trick. The brewery itself was pretty neat, with large beer barrels incorporated into the décor, including one that guests can actually sit in.
Their beer selection was on the smaller side, but we felt the prices were fair. I ordered the Blind Berry Cider, which had a pleasantly tart flavor, though it leaned toward the extra-sour side.
We thought this spot was great for Instagram photos and a worthwhile stop if you have some extra time while you’re in town. Overall, it was okay. I do wish we had known about the outdoor seating options beforehand, as we found the indoor seating area to be somewhat limited.
The glassware was pretty cool as well, with several different sizes available. The bathrooms were clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return if we find ourselves back in town again.

Totally forgot to review this from July 2024, but Anchorage Brewing absolutely deserves it. For a large production brewery, the taproom feels surprisingly cozy—warm wood tones, a modest bar, massive foeders on display, and a small heated outdoor space. Anchorage has been cranking out amazing stouts for years, and tasting them at the source was an awesome experience. A must-visit if you find yourself in Alaska.

Really fantastic spot and delicious beer. Super kid friendly and the staff were just as welcoming with our kiddo. Parking is a bit of a challenge and a game but you’ll figure it out.
Outdoor patio nooks have great fire tables, dogs are welcome (including the most adorable doggo ever), and it’s well cleared of snow and ice.
They don’t mind when you bring food in when their pizza oven is closed.
