When you are in Old Roseville, The Monk's Cellar is where to go for the best brewery experience around. Amazing food, delicious draft, and the best party spot in Roseville! Check out Irene's 5-STAR yelp review: Let's be real, nobody trusts the 5-star reviews. But I'm not just tossin' these stars out all willy-nilly. This is the real deal. Monk's Cellar is the place to be for any occasion. Birthday? Come celebrate with a salted caramel tart. Graduation? Salute the end of homework with a Bad Habit. Funeral? Cry it out on the bar top while the bartender pours you another ESB. No matter the reason for your visit, you will never be disappointed. The service is spot-on every time. Servers are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Need a recommendation? They got you, brother. And they do that amazing thing where nobody writes anything down but the food comes out correct. Magical. Speaking of the food, eat all of it. Let me tell you a secret: they deep fry their potatoes in duck fat. DUCK FAT. If that doesn't sound like some Whole Foods-level sh*t, then I don't even know anymore. And if you want to chow down on some housemade sausage, well they've got that too. All on a bed of crisp sauerkraut (none of that processed, soggy, ballpark nonsense). What I love most is the atmosphere. You can see polished beer vats from almost any seat in the house (in case you forgot what you came for) and hops bags in place of wallpaper. The dining room features a portrait of a fat beer monk that I like to pretend will by my husband in 40 years (you're on your way, baby). It's warm and inviting, night after night, and provides a gorgeous place to unwind. I salute the owners of this establishment; they really care. You can just tell. Through every aesthetic choice and menu option, you can tell. They love what they have created, and they want you to love it too. And you will absolutely love it. I guarantee it. P.S. Special shout-out to Robin, who gives the warmest smiles and the best hugs. There's only ONE way to make that better: ADD PAINT NITE! Take the best brewery in Roseville and add the best paint party ANYWHERE - and BOOM! Lets do this!

Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Mountain View Sunset is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Sarah breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Sarah is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at The Monk's Cellar, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Sarah is a real local artist based in Roseville — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. 10 out of 11 guests who've painted with Sarah say the instruction was amazing. Vanessa L. said: 'WOW! I usually struggle with stick figures, but the instruction and pace…I’m shocked I painted that! Definitely doing more!!'
The Monk's Cellar is a local venue in Roseville — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yes — we have 19 upcoming events in Roseville this month. You can view them here.
Mountain View Sunset is a summer painting — bright, warm tones that match the season perfectly.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Roseville, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Mountain View Sunset includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Sarah. Drinks and food are ordered separately from The Monk's Cellar — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
The Monk's Cellar's doors open at 11:30 AM, the event starts at 12:30 PM. We suggest showing up by 12:00 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Sarah starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
This event has reached our minimum attendance threshold and is guaranteed to run. If we ever have to cancel a guaranteed event, every ticket holder receives a full automatic refund plus a free ticket to a future Paint Nite — no questions asked. The only exception is weather or force majeure, where full refunds are issued but free tickets are not.
