Raise your glass to a NEW kind of night out! Yaymaker invites you to create art over cocktails at a local restaurant or bar, guided by a professional artist and party host. Grab your friends and spend two hours drinking, laughing, and flexing your creative muscles. There’s no experience necessary and we’ll provide all the supplies, so you don’t have to worry about a thing (except for having a great time!). Food and drinks are available for purchase from the venue and NOT included in the ticket price. Outside food and drinks are not allowed - NO BYOB. Events are for adults, 21+ only If you're coming with a group (yay, how fun!) make sure you arrive early to get seats together. Come out early to enjoy dinner before getting started, just let them know you’re with Paint Nite and check in with us to reserve your seats. We do need some time to complete set up, but will be glad to open doors 30‐45 minutes prior to event start time. Help keep your artist from becoming a starving one - tips are appreciated!

Hey! I'm Lianna! I'm a wife and mother of two sticky fingered troublemakers and one crazy farm, the Hinkle Homestead. But I'm also an artist, and I have been since, well, forever. From construction paper crafts to napkin doodles, I was always creating something new. But the artistic vibe didn't stop there; In highschool, I got my hands on all different mediums, and it's so nice to be creative in any way! After highschool, I went on to Oehrlein School of Cosmetology. Its another way for me to express my artistic personality and meet some really fantastic people. And speaking of meeting fantastic people, that's why I'm so excited to be a part of the Paint Nite team!! Come join me for a night filled with fun, drinks & paint! Explore your inner creative in a judgement free zone while making some memories you won't forget! Your finger painting inner child will thank you! In the famous words of Bob Ross, "We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents."
Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Penguin Northern Light Lovers is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Julie breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Julie is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery + Eatery, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Penguin Northern Light Lovers is one of our most popular date night paintings in Peoria. You each paint your own canvas — same painting, different results — which always makes for a fun comparison at the end of the night. The mood of the painting is romantic — expect something beautiful to bring home.
Julie is a real local artist based in Peoria — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. Paint Nite artists complete our certification program before their first event. Across all Paint Nite events, 93% of guests say their instructor was amazing.
Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery + Eatery is a local venue in Peoria — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yes — we have 15 upcoming events in Peoria this month. You can view them here.
Penguin Northern Light Lovers is a winter painting — cozy seasonal vibes for a great night out.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Peoria, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Penguin Northern Light Lovers includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Julie. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery + Eatery — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery + Eatery's event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Julie starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
