Back by popular demand, come paint your best friend at Broadway Grill! These events are so much fun and you'll go home with a painting you'll be so proud of! Show off your skills as you learn to paint your fur-baby! * A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to Oregon Dog Rescue!*
Our east side location, The Broadway Grill & Brewery, opened in September of 2006. Our newly expanded brewery was pumping out so much beer that we thought it best to bring it to the other side of town so everyone could enjoy of our handcrafted ales! Stop by for dinner with the family, a night out with friends, or a place to hang before or after an event at the Moda Center (go Blazers!)

Hi! I'm an artist in Portland, Oregon. I started doing watercolors during the pandemic and then I decided to go full in on art and learn everything. I love teaching other people how to make art without judging themselves. I tend to be pretty relaxed about art and I try to spread that around. I believe art should be fun, not stressful! When I'm not doing art, I'm creating cocktails for my YouTube channel "Missologist," playing trivia around Portland, watching movies, and hanging out.
Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Paint Your Pet Events 2 is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Nicole breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Nicole is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Broadway Grill, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Nicole is a real local artist based in Portland — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. Paint Nite artists complete our certification program before their first event. Across all Paint Nite events, 93% of guests say their instructor was amazing. Lesley S. said: 'Patient and kind teacher. Relaxing and fun atmosphere. Love love love how our pet paintings turned out.'
Broadway Grill is a local venue in Portland — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yes — we have 14 upcoming events in Portland this month. You can view them here.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Portland, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Paint Your Pet Events 2 includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Nicole. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Broadway Grill — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Broadway Grill's event starts at 6:30 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:00 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Nicole starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
