Robin is a Painter / geologist, who grew up in south Seattle, sketching single frames of movies on pause – for hours on end. Encouraged by her mother, an art major and bill-payer, to step away from the TV before she needed inch thick glasses, Robin stepped away and into a love affair with light. This love affair brought her to painting. After the first 20 tubes of black paint, her mother suggested she try sketching again. She refused, and now supports and shares the habit with help of paint nite!!
Robin embraces the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi – that art is perfect not, merely, in spite of its flaws, but because of them. Wine helps the estimation as well. She hopes to create many ‘perfect’ masterpieces with you on Paint nite.
