FAQs - Paint Nite Portland
Paint Nite Portland is a fun, social painting event where you
can sip wine or a drink of your choice while hanging with
friends.
A local artist provides step-by-step instructions, so no
painting experience is necessary.
You can search for events near you on our website and purchase
tickets online for roughly $35-$45. You’ll usually find us at a
bar, restaurant, or brewery.
A paint and sip party typically lasts two hours, giving you
ample time to finish your canvas painting, enjoy a beverage (or
two!) and catch up with the folks around you.
But just because we wrap things up doesn’t mean you have to. As
long as the venue is open, you and your crew can stay as long as
you like or come early and grab some food.
We’ll provide all the necessary supplies, including your canvas, paint, and brushes. You’ll also get an apron to protect your clothing. Still, we recommend wearing something comfortable you don't mind getting paint on.
While some Paint Nite events are geared toward children, most
are designed for adults over the legal drinking age.
Your local calendar will list the age range for each event and
whether it’s children-friendly.
Absolutely! We’d be happy to help you plan a corporate event,
team-building activity, birthday party, or special occasion.
Just speak to your favorite host or talk to our team at
Yaymaker.
One of our artists will meet you in person at your chosen
location or online if you’re planning a virtual painting party.
The number of attendees varies depending on the venue and event.
Most classes fit 30 people or more, so there’s plenty of space
for you and your friends or date.
If you want to come as part of a large group, you can message
the host from the event page to double-check that they have
enough space for you all.
Most of our paint and sip parties are at a brewery, bar or
restaurant, so there are lots of drinks and food for you to sip
and enjoy while you create.
We encourage you to buy refreshments on the night to thank our
lovely venue hosts for letting us use their space. We typically
have our own server, so you don’t even need to leave your
canvases.
All our wine and painting events are beginner-friendly and could
feature a variety of subjects. Some events may feature seasonal
or holiday-themed paintings. Others, however, may have a
specific focus, such as animals or landscapes.
All the details will be on your local event calendar, including
the date, design, artist and medium (usually acrylic paint).
You can certainly attend a paint and sip event alone. It's a fun and engaging way to meet new people in Portland while enjoying a creative activity.
