The Cat and Fiddle Sports Bar was established in 1979, and has been owned by the Doncaster family since 1989.
The Cat & Fiddle has played an important role in the local community since it’s inception. Long-time Port Coquitlam residents, the Doncaster’s believe in the importance of giving back to the community. The Cat & Fiddle has raised thousands upon thousands of dollars over the years to support local charities. They have also been counted on to sponsor countless adult and children’s sports teams, the Cat & Fiddle logo is well known throughout Port Coquitlam lacrosse, soccer, hockey, basketball and baseball organizations.

Today, I visited the Cat & Fiddle with some friends from out of town for their weekly Wing Wednesday special, which I highly recommend. The restaurant was packed, so we waited about 45 minutes for a table and another 30 minutes for our food. Despite the wait, it was absolutely worth it. Some of my favourite chicken wing flavours are Thai Sweet Chili and Honey Garlic. Would also recommend the blue cheese dip, it pairs great with the wings. Our server, Emalie, was wonderful and made everyone at our table feel very welcome. She was kind, personable, and had a great sense of humour. She also gave us some excellent beverage recommendations. Even though we had a large table and the restaurant was extremely busy, her service was prompt and detail-oriented. She brought our food out quickly considering the rush and even separated our bills in advance to make checkout as smooth as possible. I would highly recommend visiting the Cat & Fiddle for their Wing Wednesday promotion. And if you’re lucky enough to be served by Emalie, you’ll be in great hands.
Great neighborhood bar/restaurant that makes you feel comfortable and just enjoy the food and drinks. The ambiance is great and the service excellent. We enjoyed the pizza 🍕 and beer 🍺. Other food items were good also there is plenty of parking. Easy access to the restaurant. There is a family restaurant side and bar side so there are options. There was six of us and we were taken care of very well. This is not gourmet food but just good tasty food that is served in a timely manner and comes hot. Definitely recommend coming here.
Can’t beat this wing Wednesday deal! They have so many dry and saucy flavors that you will find something for any taste. We got Za’atar, Harissa, lemon pepper and honey garlic two beers each and the bill was under $40 each after a 20% tip! Sometimes eating in the suburbs has its perks! I haven’t been to this bar since I was 19! It hasn’t changed much. In a good way!
