Back on my Massachusetts brewery kick with Faces Brewing Co. in Malden, MA for a few pours & a truly delicious burger. A new brewery for me, it had been on my hit list for awhile now as I'm slowly making my way more & more south into MA. Faces Brewing Co. was opened in 2020 & was founded by five siblings alongside a childhood friend & brewer. The taproom & restaurant is located in a nicely restored former First National Bank building that was originally constructed in 1901. As a bar person the size of the bar stood out immediately when I entered & took up most of the taproom which was impressive. There was twelve beers on draft with a handful of varying styles including a few IPA's, pale ales, lagers, sours, stouts & more available. I always appreciate a nice tight twelve beer tap list with a few staples to the brewery that will stay on, some returning favorites & a bunch of different revolving new beers. I got a couple styles for my three pours so let's get into it & check them out. 🍻🍻☘🔥
I scooped a pint of the RAMBLER Dark Lager which was a excellent above average Czech with some good coffee, malt & molasses gimmicks in there. My second pint was the MASS HYSTERIA IPA, a crisp & juicy IPA that mixes both west coast & Vermont styles together. It was different from your typical IPA being hoppy, hazy & malty all in the same sip. My third pour was the PROGRESSION IPA, it was tropical, citrusy & had some subtle pear in there as well. This was my favorite beer of the three with that RAMBLER Dark Lager coming in a very close second. 🍻☘🔥🍻
It's burger time now, I grabbed the ITALIAN STALLION BURGER with a angus beef patty, pancetta, pistachio pesto, smoked mozzarella, roasted pepper mayo, bibb lettuce & tomato on a brioche bun. I believe I added bacon as well, it was a hazy afternoon of brewery hopping so I'm not positive of a lot that day. The burger was super juicy & delicious with enough flavor to satisfy a bunch of my taste buds & went great with a IPA. This place had a massive bar which made up for a lot of the seating with hightops & tables available as well. I enjoyed everything I tried here & that burger was top notch for sure, definitely a place I'm glad I checked out, cheers! 🍻🍻☘🔥✌♥️🍺

Faces Brewing Company in Malden is a great choice for local brew and an excellent menu of fine selections to match. I was here for a recent music show in the “back room” and came away impressed. The stage backdrop is a series of nicely lit brewery tanks and the sound system is very good. The main dining room and bar area is elegant and beautifully decorated. The dinner menu features a small taco selection, pizza, appetizers and bar snacks, and sandwiches. I went with a tasty Short Rib French Dip sandwich and a couple of thirst quenching brews. Get in here. Highly recommended.

The interior is beautiful, bright and open, and comfortable. Our server was attentive and wonderful. I appreciate that they offer 5oz pours! We stopped in for lunch and I wanted to try a beer but I fill up fast and my partner doesn't drink. It was perfect.
The chicharrones appetizer was amazing. Super tender pork belly with melt in your mouth fat, and a cream dipping sauce. I would have loved crispy skin, but it was still great without.
I got the fall falafel which is vegetarian and has chickpea and butternut squash fritters which were fried crispy and delicious. The flatbread was grilled and one side was a tough over charred but my partner loved that bite. The fries are basic but hot and crispy.
The bathrooms are clean and modern without that "I have no idea how to turn on this sink" issue some trendy places have. The air hand dryer placement does mean if you're coming out of the accessible bathroom stall and someone is drying their hands, it's a bit awkward or you might have to wait for them to finish. But I appreciate that the accessible stall is the first one vs being furthest from the door!
