Food was pretty good but took a long time to come out. We went on a Monday evening when most of Georgetown restaurants are closed so the restaurant and Georgetown Square were pretty deserted. Waiting staff were nice but service was super slow just two people covering everything. We have been before at the weekends when the place is much more lively. Monday not the best night for Georgetown Square we didn't realize so many places were closed.
Highly disappointed with Tejas last night. We specifically went for the Wednesday steak night with the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes, only to get there and find out they don’t even serve it on the Wednesday menu anymore. Then I asked what the “cocktail of the month” was and was told… shrimp cocktail. 😂 I’m sorry, WHAT?! That pretty much summed up the night. We each ordered one drink and both were awful, so we decided not to order anything else and left. And to top it all off, the women’s bathroom smelled absolutely terrible and was filthy. Definitely not what you want to see at a place you’re considering sitting down and eating at. I will say our waiter was incredibly nice, apologetic, and absolutely not the problem. He handled everything professionally and was very kind. Tejas used to be one of those Georgetown spots I would brag about and recommend to people visiting the area, which is probably why this was such a disappointment. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won’t be going back or recommending it anymore. Really hate to see a place we used to enjoy go downhill like this.Highly disappointed with Tejas last night. I’ve been to both the Georgetown and Round Rock Tejas Meat Supply locations, and they never disappoint. Whether you’re stopping in for dinner, grabbing drinks with friends, or picking up premium steaks to cook at home, the experience is consistently outstanding. The atmosphere at both locations is welcoming, relaxed, and uniquely Texan. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a great meal, unwind with a handcrafted drink, or simply spend a few hours with friends and family. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel appreciated from the moment you walk in. The food is phenomenal every time, and the drink selection is just as impressive. But what really sets Tejas Meat Supply apart is the quality of their butcher shop. Their steaks are some of the best you’ll find anywhere and have become our go-to choice for an at-home date night. The quality, freshness, and flavor are second to none, making it easy to enjoy a steakhouse-quality meal right at home. If you’re anywhere near Georgetown or Round Rock, Tejas Meat Supply is absolutely worth a visit. Both locations consistently deliver exceptional food, outstanding service, an incredible atmosphere, and top-tier meats. It’s one of those rare places that exceeds expectations every single time.
