As vegans we are rarely able to find anything for breakfast in a restaurant but friends had told us about Zak's and as we were driving through on our way to Ottawa we decided it was worth stopping. I'm so glad we did! We ordered a typical breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast but were able to substitute JustEgg and Beyond sausages and we had a fantastic breakfast! Thank you Zak's for providing these options. Our waitress Hailey was wonderful too!

Me and my mom went for lunch and got eggs Benny with bacon. Was really good, beans were cold but tasted good, maybe they come like that. We were seated at a booth that has a vent directly on top and was freezing so we switched tables, a couple said they were seated there as well and moved. Staff were all friendly.

We had the sweetest first experience at Zak's Diner this Valentine’s Day! 💕 It was our first time visiting with our toddler for breakfast, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly kind and patient with our little one, which made such a difference for us as parents. It’s not always easy dining out with a toddler, but the team went out of their way to make it stress-free and enjoyable. The food was fantastic — fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. Everything came out quickly (which parents definitely appreciate!), and the portions were generous. The cozy diner atmosphere made it feel extra special for Valentine’s Day — relaxed, family-friendly, and full of good vibes. It meant a lot to us to celebrate our first Valentine’s breakfast as a family of three in such a welcoming place. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Zak’s, for helping us create such a lovely memory! ❤️🥞✨
