First off I would love to give 5 stars. Please let y'alls food staff they are amazing. Hands down one of the best Chicken Ceaser wraps I have ever had. One of the best places in town to have a good selection of bourbon that dose not alive your throat. The deduction comes from how some of the bar staff comes across. You never know of someone will be nice or just rude for no reason. This has been such a large step up from the original Rub. Owner is very good man and very easy to talk to. It's just some of the bar staff that turns us off from going.
My friend ans I had a great evening here! The restrooms were super clean (a big deal for me). The food and drinks were amazing. My ONLY complaint was the female that closed my tab Friday night was a bit rude😒.
I've been to R&R Bar & Grill several times because, honestly, it's one of the best karaoke spots in the Augusta area. The karaoke alone is the reason I continue coming back, and I've even made it a point to introduce friends to the bar after it was recommended to me by a regular (who I'll leave unnamed out of respect for their privacy). The karaoke DJs deserve a lot of credit. They do an outstanding job creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere and consistently provide excellent customer service. They're engaging, professional, and make everyone feel included. If I could, I'd rather give all of my tips directly to the DJs because they're the reason people stay and have a great time. Unfortunately, the customer service behind the bar consistently takes away from what could otherwise be an outstanding experience. Lauren, the bartender, often comes across as annoyed whenever new customers walk in. Instead of feeling welcomed, many first-time visitors feel like they're inconveniencing the staff simply by ordering a drink. I've brought multiple groups of friends here, and almost every time I suggest coming back, the first thing they mention is the bartenders. Several have said they don't feel welcome or comfortable returning because of how they're treated. It's frustrating because the DJs work so hard to create a great experience, only for that positive impression to be overshadowed by the interactions at the bar. One other observation: after reading through the Google reviews, I noticed many responses from the business come across as defensive or argumentative. I don't know if those replies are written by the owner or someone else, but if they're intended to address customer concerns, they often have the opposite effect. A respectful, customer-focused response goes a long way in showing that feedback is valued. I genuinely want this place to succeed because the karaoke is exceptional. I want to keep bringing new people here, but that's becoming difficult when so many of them leave saying they don't feel welcome because of the service at the bar. I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit it's intended: from someone who enjoys the venue and wants to see it become as known for its hospitality as it is for its karaoke.
