Michael Falk

Michael is a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer and Iraq war veteran who now makes his living as a cartoonist, working to bring laughter & fun to a world lacking in those particular attributes. Throughout his military career, Michael stayed connected to the artwork that dominated his formative years and, upon retirement in 2010, returned to school and now holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Media Arts & Animation. His Yaymaker tenure includes five years as a live Paint Nite instructor in Los Angeles, where he was one of the highest rated hosts, with a five star rating and over 1,000 events held.

Additionally, Michael is the former Assistant Art Director for MAD Magazine, having worked alongside some of the finest humorists, artists, and designers in the world to create history’s finest satire publication. He has spent time as a digital artist for DC Comics, an animator for MAD Magazine & Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and as an intern at Nickelodeon Animation Studio. Michael enjoys PT (exercise for you civilian types...especially the kind that takes place in the mud), hiking, SCUBA diving and en plein air painting. Oh, and good Scotch...he enjoys that too.
