As a Southern American, I came to Canada expecting maple syrup and hockey. I did not expect to walk into Lionheart British Pub & Restaurant and discover that fish, fries, gravy, and cheese curds could bring nations together.
The fish and chips were outstanding. The haddock was crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and so good it almost made me question every fish fry I’ve ever attended back home. The batter had the perfect crunch, and the fries were spot on.
Then came the poutine. Y’all, nobody prepared me for this. I thought it was just fries with extra paperwork. Turns out it’s Canada’s greatest contribution to world peace. By the third bite, I was ready to apply for dual citizenship. The gravy was rich, the cheese curds were doing their squeaky little thing, and my cholesterol was sending strongly worded letters.
The atmosphere was warm, the service was excellent, and the whole place felt like the kind of pub where everybody knows your name after one visit.

Ready Set Good.
If you're in Mississauga and craving pub food or ambiance, you should visit this little pub. Food is good and reasonably priced. Nachos were generous in topping, British Burger (with blue cheese) is chargrilled and juicy, onion rings are crispy and their beef pie had nice crust and beef gravy which is the heart of any good British pie. Service was attentive and quick. Big TV to watch Olympics. In a plaza with Metro grocery, nails place, convenience store, Tim Hortons ... found it convenient to do errands and grab lunch.

Delicious & satisfying!
The roast beef was tender and juicy with a flavorful crust and rich gravy. The Yorkshire puddings were light, crispy on the outside, and perfect for soaking up the sauce. Our server Carol was friendly and attentive.
