We recently visited Filotimo and overall had a lovely experience. The restaurant is cosy, beautifully decorated, and has a warm atmosphere. We had hoped to get a table in the courtyard when we made our reservation, but it was fully booked. We ended up sitting in the bar area instead, which was also very pleasant. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and warm, and made a great first impression. Unfortunately, service became inconsistent as the lunch progressed. We often found ourselves trying to get someone’s attention, and our plates remained on the table for quite some time before being cleared. The food was mostly excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the meat platter, and my companions were very happy with their kingklip and calamari. The potatoes were particularly memorable and absolutely delicious. The only disappointment was the prawns, which were quite stringy and lacked the fresh texture we were expecting. One other aspect that felt out of place was the music in the bar area. It was quite intense and had more of a rave-like feel, which did not seem to match the otherwise relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, Filotimo offers great food, a beautiful setting, and genuinely friendly staff. With a little more attention to service consistency and food quality control, it could easily be a five-star experience. Four stars from us.
Lovely authentic Greek restaurant, we sat outside which after reading the reviews did not disappoint. The service was excellent, Marvelous was a very attentive, friendly waitress. we were unfortunately disappointed with some of our food, the prawns in the saganaki starter were overcooked and the gyro was very dry. But the roast potatoes and the salad were delicious, as was the seafood pizza, lots of toppings and very crispy crust. Can also recommend the Limoncello spritzer and the yogurt and honey dessert. Very moreish. Will have to do a return trip to try the Kleftiko next.
It’s been a while since I’ve been to a really good restaurant! We loved everything! Keep it up guys 😁
